Monday the 16th of December |
After 10 days off we are finally back in business. We still
have a lot to do... Siv Lena recorded 4 songs today!
Espen G started recording the vocals on "I lytinne två".

Siv Lena recorded more violins.

Wednesday the 18th of December |
Siv Lena finished recording her violins today! In the afternoon
we brought in 5 guys from a local choir to sing on "Skip
under lide" and "Høyre du Åsmund Fregdegjævar?"

Thursday the 19th of December |
Our songs have constantly been going through changes the last
3 years, and they still are... We soon realised that something
had to be done with "Det er ingin dage" as it was
far too cosy. Espen G suggested removing the accoustic guitars
and replace the synth with a real chuch-organ, and so we did!
We are also doubtful about the choir-version of "Høyre
du Åsmund Fregdegjævar?" so we asked Steinar
Aardal to sing this song alone today. Time will tell which version
we will use... Steinar also did the vocals on "I lytinne
två" so we will probably combine his and Espen Gs
vocals. In the evening Vibeke re-recorded the vocals on "I
trollehender" and "Kampen mot bergetrolli".

Friday the 20th of December |
As we prefer using original instruments instead of synths when
possible, we decided to get more help for "Hår som
spunnid gull", a cello, flute and a contrabass! This was
really successful and as they all were very professional and
used less time than expected we decided to replace some synthlines
from other songs as well. We used all three on "Olavs belti"
and that turned out really good! We also added some flute on
"Ormin lange".

Saturday the 21st of December |
Last night we got Espen Gs Hammond organ and Leslie. He recorded
quite a few tracks with it and we will decide later what to
use. Today we made the final touch on the guitars, bass, synths
and vocals.
